Australia created the largest Marine Reserve in continental waters

Australia Marine Reserve   The Australian Government announced that there are plans to create the largest Marine Reserve, which will cover about 3 million square kilometers. The area is about 30% from the Australian waters and will have strong restrictions for fishing, oil and gas extraction. The restrictions will include the cargo carrying in the areas, but will not disable at all. The Australian government started large and expensive environmental policy, which has main purpose to decrease the pollution of the sensitive eco-system in the area of the Great Barrier Reef.

   This large policy stopped a billion-dollar coal project last year, which might be negatively impact the eco-system in the vicinity. The act of making a large Marine Reserve is the continental waters of Australia is the first, but not last action, which the government will take. The main purpose is to be kept the endangered marine species and to reduce the overfishing, habitat loss and pollution.
