Three fishing boats sank in Barangay Aguauan, Philippines, after being dragged to the rocks at the shoreline. The FB Lady Jane, FB Joshua and FB John Mark-I, which were anchored in the bay, were hit by heavy sea and strong winds, due to a tropical storm in the region. The fishing boats dragged the anchors and drifted to the rocky shallow, damaging seriously the hulls. All the fishing boats sank into the waters of South China Sea. One crew member is missing after the accident, as all other people were rescued with the life rafts of the ships. The missing seaman was identified as Archangel Vicoy, who is from San Jose, Antique. The coast guard sent immediately the rescue ship to the scene of the accident and took all the the people from life rafts. The search and rescue operations of the missing fisherman is in progress, as in it are engaged two rescue boats and helicopter.
Ro-Ro Cargo ship Bayang sank in Philippines
The cargo ship Bayang partially sank after collision with anchored barge Asian Roger in Manila Bay, Philippines. The Ro-Ro cargo ship was anchored, when due to the strong current and heavy sea dragged the anchor and collided with the barge. The ship got large hole into the portside of the hull with size of about 0.50 m. The cargo ship Bayang got water ingress and submerged, as the hull grounded into the bottom and the vessel partially sank. There is no information about injured people and pollution, but the ship has large capacity of IFO on board, which might spill into the bay. The shipowner and port authorities got all the measures to prevent leakage and water pollution in the region. The local authorities started investigation of the accident and most probably the owned and operator of the ship will be fined for the collision and the sinking.

Ammonia leakage from LPG Carrier Al Marona
Leakage and water pollution was reported from New Mangalore port authorities. The LPG Carrier Al Marona was discharging ammonia into the port, when a strong leakage started from broken pipe. Four people are injured - two crew members and dock workers during the accident. The injured people were transport to the local hospital for medical intervention. The LPG Carrier Al Marona had pipe damage and one of the duty deck officer left one of the valves closed during the offloading operations. The pressure has become harder and broke the pipe. The local port authorities started investigation of the accident and fined seriously the master and shipowner of the LPG carrier - Qatar Shipping. The situation requested evacuation of the ship and the dock from civil and dock workers. The pollution as restricted from the local authorities and the process of cleaning started immediately.

ANL Warringa container ship
The container ship ANL Warringa is impressive and modern vessel, which is part of the fleet and operated by the maritime transport company Rickmers Shipmanagement Singapore. The ship was built in 2007 by Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Group in their shipyard in Dalian, China. The ship is meeting all the requirements and standards of IMO for stability, safety and environmental operations. The overall length of the container ship is 260.00 m, while the registered length between perpendiculars is 244.50 m. The beam of the cargo ship is 32.25 m, the depth is 19.30 m and the maximum draft is 12.60 m. ANL Warringa is optimized and really large vessel, which has improved capacity and strong engineering. The summer deadweight of the ship is 50,629 DWT, the gross tonnage is 39,906 GRT and the net tonnage is 24,504 NT. Ferry ran aground and caught fire in Philippines
The ferry Super Shuttle Roro 1 ran aground in the Looc Bay, Tablas Island in Philippines. The vessel was operating on route from Dumaguit to Batangas, when due to the tropical storm and heavy sea ran aground near the Tablas Island. The vessel had 57 passengers, 16 vehicles and 48 crew members on board. The ship got large hole into the hull and signed water ingress in the engine room. The water in the engine room cause short circle and the super structure caught fire. All the crew and passengers were evacuated to the life rafts and when the rescue boat arrived at the scene of the accident the ship was almost sank. One crew member of the ferry Super Shuttle Roro 1 died in the fire and explosion on board, but all other people were saved. The local authorities are investigating the reason for the accident and mostly the fire, which started in the engine room.

MSC Flaminia is drifing on 100 nautical miles off UK
The container ship MSC Flaminia, which caught fire on board in the mid Atlantic is now drifting on 100 nautical miles off the UK coast. The ship still has no permission to enter into the sheltered area of the UK. Various teams of firefighting experts boarded the vessel to check if still there is any hotspots on board, as MSC Flaminia will nave no approval for getting close to the shore before the fire is fully extinguished. According to the report of the experts, there is no fire into the cargo holds 4 and 5, but still inside the containers there is thick smoke and some of them are still burning. The containers should be inspected one by one, before all the hotspots are extinguished and the safety of the ship is ensured. On board of MSC Flaminia there are various of dangerous cargoes, which was the main reason the ship to be kept away from the shore. The German maritime transport company Hamburg Sud and the operator Columbus Shipmanagement, launched their newest container ship Santa Ursula. The vessel was christened in Santos port, Brazil as the main investor into the ship was the Vice President of Marfrig Alimentos S/A - Marcia A. M. dos Santos. The ship will be the new class, highly modern and environmental vessel, which meets all the standards of IMO and integrates many new developments from the shipbuilder. The vessel was built in the South Korean shipyard by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, where are created definitely the largest and most modern ships of the world. OceanJet 6 ferry ran aground with 200 passengers
The passenger ferry OceanJet 6 ran aground in the port of Cebu City, Philippines. The vessel ran abround near the pier into the aquatory of the port with 197 passengers on board. The vessel was on route from Tagbiliran, Bohol to Cebu and almost finished the voyage, when the ship hit a mud banks and was not able to refloat by itself. The navigation officers from the ferry OceanJet 6 send signal to the coast guard for the accident and the ship BRP Davao del Norte transfered the passengers to the pier. The accident finished without any injured people and with no serious damages of the ferry, but many of the passengers were scared, as there were no information how and when they will be rescued. They reported that waited more than 2 hours before the ship BRP Davao del Norte started the rescue operations.

MS Expedition ran aground in Norway
The cruise ship MS Expedition, which has 100 passengers and 57 crew members on board ran aground near Isispynten, Norway. The ship got water ingress and serious damages of the hull, but the accurate and fast salvage operations saved it from sinking. The intentions of the captain was to head the ship to Alesung, but when the hole was found and the inspection was help, the ship was reported as unavailable for operations. The vessel Expedition was tugged to Longyearbyen in the Advents Fjord, where was anchored for further maintenance and inspections. There is no pollution and injured people during the accident, but the construction of the hull is damaged and the ship will need of repair and even might be dry docked. The reason for the accident is still unknown, but usually cruise ship Expedition is operating in coastal water and most probably this was the reason for hitting the rocky shallow.

The chemical tanker Stolt Valor will be scrapped
The chemical tanker Stolt Valor, which caught fire in March 2012 and reported total loss, will be scrapped. The explosion and fire on board of the ship happened on 45 miles off the coast of Qatar and caused serious damages of the cargo tanks, hull and engineering on board. The fire was extinguished, but the ship was in terrible condition. The company owner of the vessel Stolt Nielsen together with the operator Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company announced that the repair costs of the chemical tanker will be much higher than its actual price, so the best option in front of them is to scrap the vessel. The chemical tanker was tugged to the port of Asry, where was inspected by experts of the company owner and shipyard, who concerned about the full repair of the ship.
