Arctech Shipyard will deliver the supply vessel Vitus Bering in advance

Vitus Bering   The Helsinki Shipyard of Arctech will deliver the offshore supply vessel Vitus Bering with large advance because of the modern technology and heavy engineering installed into the dock. The supply vessel has contract to be delivered in April 2013, but will be float-out on 18th December 2012. The ship Vitus Bering has Ice Class A and her main purpose is to deliver supplies for the oil and gas production platforms in North Sea. The ship has length of 99.90 m and beam of 21.70 m. The hull has special design with increased strength and low water resistance. The ship has operate in 1.70 m depth ice and temperatures of minus 35 degrees. The supply vessel Vitus Bering has four main engines, which have total output power of 24,100 hp and total propulsion power of 17,400 hp.The ship is built according to the latest standards of IMO for safety and strength.
