Asia Star reported position on way to Borneo

Asia Star ship   The cargo ship Asia Star, which was missing after engine failure reported position in Sandakan, Borneo with fixed problem with engine and no damages. The cargo ship disappeared from the radars and had no connection on the VHF radio with traffic control of Luzon, Philippines. The cargo ship Asia Star sent distress signal on 22nd July 2012, but due to the bad weather the tugs were not able to complete the salvage operations. Till that moment the ship disappeared and there were no information, as even the company operator Inter Shipmanagement thought it sank. Fortunately, the problem on board was fixed the ship resumed voyage, reporting its position from the destination port Borneo, Malaysia. The crew on board has no injuries and the ship has no damages.
