The Compagnie du Ponant is one of the largest and most profitable French cruise companies, with turnover of 80 million EUR for the last year. The company operates with 6 luxury cruise ships, which carrier over 20,000 passengers during 2011. The company specialized in 5 star luxury cruises in the Arctic and Antarctic, while offer high quality service and really top class interior. The cruise ships of the company are really beautiful and the staff operating on them is about 580 people. The price of the deal is not announced, but according to the statement of Bridgepoint, they will provide to La Compagnie du Ponant the resources it needs to fulfil its ambitions.
