Libyan Coast Guard fired Tunisian fishing vessel

   Libya fired Tunisian fishing vessel, cause the kill of one seaman and the injury of another one. The fire was caused, when the Tunisian fishing vessel entered into Libyan waters and the refusing to stop. During the night, a patrol of the Libyan Coast Guard detected unknown vessel operating in Libyan waters and after sending a helicopter it was understood that this is Tunisian fishing ship. The Coast Guard contacted the ship and asked to stop engines, when the fishing boat gone full ahead and tried to scape. The patrol ship send a few shots to the ship, and arrested the seamen and officer. After the shots one of the fishing seamen was killed and another one was seriously injured and was transported to a hospital in Tripoli.

Fishing ship ran ashore after hull damage

   The fishing ship Raidawn ran ashore to prevent sinking after strucking a rock in Main Bay, Prince William Sound. After the collision the fishing ship got large hole in the hull and water ingress, which menaced the ship's stability. After the accident, the ship was towed by another fishing vessel to the shore and the beat was rescued from sinking. The Coast Guard sent a helicopter to the scene of the accident and spotted large oil spill, by the fuel on board. The fishing ship Raidawn has 3,200 gallons of diesel 500 gallons of gasoline on board and large amount of this fuel spilled into the water. The authorities are monitoring the pollution, as the ship owner should take all the charge of cleaning the oil spill. There are no reports of injuries during the accident, but the ship should be repaired before towed back to the water.
